So please do follow these simple steps to flower pleasure: On arrival...

Unpack your flowers as soon as you can.
Using a sharp knife (or scissors, but they are not as good for the flower) and cutting at an angle, cut 3cm off every stem.
Because any leaves in the vase water will create bacteria which damages the flowers, be sure to strip off leaves that will be below the water line.
